ORBIS SE Adjustment of the outlook for the 2024 financial year:

Saarbrücken, 14 August 2024 - The Saarbrücken-based software and business consulting company ORBIS SE, which is listed in the General Standard, is reporting lower than expected business development for the 2024 financial year due to the generally difficult economic situation and based on the course of business to date in the first half of 2024.

At ORBIS SE in particular, earnings (EBIT) for the 2024 financial year are now expected to be significantly lower than in the previous year.

Preliminary consolidated sales in the first half of 2024 fell by - 2.9% year-on-year to € 65,738 thousand (previous year: € 67,694 thousand).

The preliminary operating result before depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) decreased by - 3.5% to € 5,393 thousand (previous year: € 5,591 thousand).

The valuation of minority interests in subsidiaries results in negative effects on consolidated EBIT and, conversely, positive effects on the financial and consolidated result.

Accordingly, the preliminary operating result (EBIT) decreased by - 31.2% year-on-year to € 1,948 thousand in the reporting period (previous year: € 2,833 thousand), while the preliminary consolidated net profit after taxes and minority interests increased by + 14.2% to € 1,381 thousand (previous year: € 1,210 thousand).

Due to the development in the reporting period, the full-year forecast for a Group EBIT at the previous year's level is not achievable in Germany from today's perspective.

ORBIS now expects consolidated revenue at Group level in the Domestic segment for the 2024 financial year to be slightly below the previous year's level and consolidated EBIT to be down on the previous year.
On the other hand, a slight increase in consolidated sales and a consolidated EBIT at the previous year's level are still expected in the international segment.

Overall, consolidated revenue for the ORBIS Group in the 2024 financial year is now expected to be around 1.5% to 2.5% lower than in the previous year, with a consolidated EBIT margin of around 2.5% to 3.5%.

The half-year financial statements will be published on 27 August 2024.
