ORBIS AG’s consolidated financial statements preliminary result for 2020: ORBIS significantly exceeds sales and earnings expectations in the 2020 financial year

According to preliminary figures that are yet to be audited, ORBIS AG, the Saarbrücken-based software and business consulting company listed in the General Standard, increased its consolidated sales by approximately 19% to around €85 million (consolidated sales including the acquisition of Data One GmbH) in the 2020 financial year. The preliminary operating profit (EBIT) is around €4.2 million, also making it around 19% higher than in the previous year. The Group has thereby significantly exceeded both the outlook it last published in its report on the first half of 2020 and market expectations: ORBIS had expected a single-digit percentage year-on-year increase in sales in the 2020 financial year and EBIT to be slightly below last year’s results, after the Group’s business was impacted by COVID-19-related constraints, particularly in the second and third quarters.
DThe consolidated financial statements for the 2020 financial year are expected to be approved at the Supervisory Board’s financial statements meeting to be held on March 22, 2021.
