ORBIS SE founds new subsidiary ORBIS Value Plus: Digital process transformation for business value optimization

The internationally active ORBIS Group is with immediate effect pooling its extensive expertise and technology know-how in business value optimization through specialized process analysis and optimization under the umbrella brand ORBIS Value Plus GmbH (ORBIS Value+). The new subsidiary is a strategically important building block that ORBIS SE is using to expand its portfolio to provide all services from a single source: from strategic process consulting, analysis and optimization, and implementation of IT solutions including application management support, to digital process and business transformation with process mining.

This translates into genuine added value for customers, regardless of whether they use business software from SAP, Microsoft or other manufacturers. The ORBIS Value+ team brings to the table extensive know-how and consulting expertise from its past in the industry and supports customers with concentrated expertise from numerous successful projects in data-supported analysis, automation and continuous process improvement on the way to digital business transformation. This is an important prerequisite for achieving strategic goals, such as increasing sales and profitability or expanding into new markets and sustainably increasing business value. The business and IT experts at ORBIS Value+ also offer support in the form of efficient change management, which is indispensable as process optimization and business transformation lead to far-reaching changes in workflows and organization.

These are all key success factors – as is the holistic, agile and flexibly adaptable approach that ORBIS Value+ takes. The starting point for this is workshops, in which the potential for value enhancement through process optimization is identified and use cases are prioritized together with Management / the Executive Board and employees. This is followed by data-based process analysis with tried-and-tested process mining and optimization tools such as Celonis, SAP Signavio, mpmX or Microsoft Power Automate. Only they enable the objective “X-ray view” of the existing business processes that is needed to create and implement a reliable roadmap for (AI-supported) optimization and automation.

The first step in this regard is to automate and optimize standard processes such as procure-to-pay or order-to-cash, which according to experience promise “quick wins” and thus ensure a high level of acceptance among the workforce. One technology group, for example, managed to reduce its days sales outstanding (DSO) by 22 days on average with the help of the ORBIS Value+ team in the invoice-to-cash process, thereby increasing its net working capital by more than EUR 28 million. During system transformations such as the switch to SAP S/4HANA, the automation of test processes offers tremendous benefits, as the associated routine tasks are completed far faster and much more reliably. The ORBIS subsidiary also takes care of training selected specialist users, so that they can later carry out process optimizations independently – from modeling to execution – in line with the “citizen developer concept”.
