With Microsoft Dynamics 365 and ORBIS:
ORBIS AG from Saarbrücken introduces Microsoft Dynamics 365 (formerly: Microsoft Dynamics CRM) at M+W Dental Müller & Weygandt GmbH from Büdingen in Hesse. M+W Dental, the largest mail order company for dental consumables in the German-speaking region, is thus bundling sales-related data centrally on one work platform, creating a 360-degree view of customer activities and establishing consistent, efficient and flexible CRM processes in sales. Sales data or visit and call reports can be accessed and recorded at any time and anywhere with Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook (CRM for Outlook) or a mobile app - on the desktop via Internet browser just as on the road, online and offline.
For the installation of Microsoft Dynamics 365, the mail order company relied on the technical and consulting expertise of ORBIS AG, with whom it has been implementing IT projects with great success for many years. Since an all-round view of sales activities was of central importance in this project, ORBIS created a deep integration between the new CRM solution and M+W Dental's existing SAP ERP system, in which customer master data, customer characteristics and sales documents are managed and orders are recorded, on the basis of a bidirectional data exchange. The link was established using the Scribe integration platform. Earlier, the IT service provider from Saarbrücken had already implemented an integration scenario at M+W Dental using the ORBIS iTC solution, in which data from SAP ERP is extracted into an SQL data table and made available there for business intelligence analyses using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis and Reporting Services.
The decision to introduce Microsoft Dynamics 365 - the application replaces an in-house CRM development based on the Microsoft Access database system, combined with SQL Server - was made after a thorough examination of all relevant aspects. In addition to the intuitive and convenient operation with integration in Microsoft Outlook and an attractive price-performance ratio, the decisive factor was the fact that the CRM solution fits seamlessly into the IT and BI landscape at M+W Dental and is in line with the company's IT strategy. The use of Microsoft products such as SQL Server including BI tools, Microsoft Outlook, Office and Windows has always been an important component of this strategy. Thanks to the existing internal IT know-how with regard to Microsoft technologies, the company can carry out the technical administration as well as the adaptation to individual process requirements of Microsoft Dynamics 365 on its own and thus save IT costs.
As part of a pilot project, the introduction of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and CRM for Outlook for offline access to data in the field sales force has already been successfully completed. The CRM application, which is expected to be used by around 75 users in its final version, is now gradually being installed in all sales-related departments; the rollout to the foreign branches is planned for a later date.
