With Microsoft Dynamics CRM and ORBIS
ORBIS AG from Saarbrücken is introducing the Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution at ALBIS PLASTIC GmbH, an internationally active distributor and compounder of thermoplastics based in Hamburg and part of the OTTO KRAHN Group. With the software, ALBIS PLASTIC bundles and harmonizes customer-related data and processes company-wide, thus creating the basis for managing economic growth even more efficiently: a 360-degree view of customers, high efficiency and productivity in sales, marketing and service, and improved collaboration between these areas.
During project implementation, ALBIS PLASTIC relied on the process and industry knowledge and the high level of consulting expertise of the experts at ORBIS, who have already implemented Microsoft Dynamics CRM at KRAHN CHEMIE GmbH, another company in the OTTO KRAHN Group. The current CRM implementation is therefore also an important strategic step for the holding company in order to establish a uniform platform for customer management throughout the group. Thanks to the excellent cooperation of the internal project team with the consultants from ORBIS and excellent project management, the implementation was not only completed on time, but also stayed within budget.
Since going live at the beginning of June 2016, the approximately 140 end users at ALBIS PLASTIC - ultimately to be around 400 across the entire group of companies - have been benefiting from the advantages of the new CRM solution. With the all-round view of customers, prospects, and suppliers that this makes possible, sales processes in particular can be managed very effectively. This high level of transparency is achieved because all important information from the ERP system - such as quotations, open orders, or invoices - can be displayed in Microsoft Dynamics CRM at any time. Thanks to the complete and up-to-date data, it is also possible to generate a customer fact sheet in the form of a report for each customer. The smooth transport of ERP data into the CRM solution is ensured by the ORBIS SAP Integration Suite, which connects both applications via a unidirectional interface. Management can call up analyses from SAP Business Warehouse that are integrated into the CRM solution, for example reports on sales potential or opportunities including history, and use them as a sound basis for their decisions. The dashboards for visualizing the key figure analyses were created by the internal project team itself.
The special plus of Microsoft Dynamics CRM is the complete integration into Microsoft Outlook. This increases acceptance among users, who can work on the familiar, easy-to-use interface. Tasks in the field sales force can also be performed offline in the Outlook client.
The CRM solution, which is currently being used in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, is currently being rolled out to all ALBIS PLASTIC subsidiaries. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016. Other possible expansion scenarios include the introduction of a mobile app for the field sales force and the linking of Microsoft Dynamics CRM with Microsoft SharePoint Server for document management.
