ORBIS and Intershop enter into partnership
Bundled know-how for customer engagement and e-commerce with Microsoft Dynamics 365
The internationally active software and business consulting company ORBIS AG and Intershop Communications AG are bundling their expertise in digitization projects through a strategic partnership. The aim of this partnership is to combine the benefits of Microsoft Dynamics 365 in terms of 360-degree customer view and customer interaction, as well as Intershop's e-commerce solution in terms of personalization, proactive customer management, and cross-channel identification of customer preferences based on the latest data.
With this partnership, ORBIS and Intershop are exclusively addressing existing and new customers from the Microsoft environment and will support them in the future with combined expertise in the areas of e-commerce and customer engagement. ORBIS is one of Microsoft's leading business and technology partners in the area of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement. The joint activities focus on the Construction Supplier, Manufacturing, Automotive Supplier and Retail sectors.
The first joint projects with customers such as PERI GmbH, one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of formwork and scaffolding systems, have already been successfully completed. At PERI, ORBIS and Intershop are currently implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 in conjunction with Intershop's e-commerce solution based on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
Markus Klahn, COO at Intershop, comments: "This example exemplifies the synergy between the complementary portfolios of ORBIS and Intershop - especially against the background of an intensive partnership with Microsoft. Joint marketing measures are already underway to quickly leverage this potential." Intershop and ORBIS will have their own stands at Microsoft's German Partner Conference (DPK), currently running in Leipzig from October 23 to 25, 2018, where they present their complementary solutions. The third day (#Impulse18), to which Microsoft customers in particular will be invited, offers an additional platform to present the integrated CRM commerce solution to decision-makers and experts and to convince the audience of the added value of such a pre-integrated system in a lecture. Dr. Jochen Wiechen, CEO at Intershop, explains: "The combination of the solutions with shorter time-to-market and lower costs is highly attractive. The MVP (minimum viable product) concept offers good entry options here. Accordingly, we are already meeting very positive response here at the DPK." Intershop will also be presenting for the first time at the ORBIS Customer Day, which will be held in Saarbrücken on November 21, 2018.
Andreas Schulz, Managing Director at ORBIS Hamburg, is looking forward to the cooperation: "By expanding our portfolio with an established, flexible e-commerce solution, we are offering customers a valuable option for developing online sales into a robust growth driver for their business. Cleverly designed and combined with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions, our customers can generate enormous added value from their digitization projects".
