SAP competencies bundled: ORBIS AG acquires majority interest in BLUE STEC GmbH

ORBIS AG, the internationally active software and business consulting company based in Saarbrücken, Germany, has acquired a majority interest of 60 percent in BLUE STEC GmbH, based in Lüneburg, Germany, as of January 13, 2022. BLUE STEC GmbH is an industry-independent technical consultancy and an experienced managed services provider in the SAP environment with comprehensive expertise in the technology, operations and security of SAP infrastructures.

ORBIS AG have been working with BLUE STEC since 2017 in a trusting and successful manner as part of a strategic partnership in the area of SAP HANA Basis support. The majority interest is a strategically important step in order to bundle SAP competencies and expand the current range of services in the areas of SAP technology (SAP Basis and SAP S/4HANA migration) and SAP security (SAP authorizations and SAP system security). As a result, the Saarbrücken-based IT service provider is able to offer its customers entire SAP operations (managed services) from a single source. At the same time, ORBIS completes its portfolio in terms of SAP S/4HANA conversion, the full-service offering "RISE with SAP" for digital business transformation and managed cloud services.

Conversely, BLUE STEC will also benefit greatly from the participation and from the even closer cooperation with ORBIS. Access to the customer platform of the ORBIS Group enables the Lüneburg-based IT service provider to address larger, internationally active companies in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands, as well as in China and the USA. As a member of the ORBIS Group, BLUE STEC will at the same time expand its own range of services with regard to the SAP Intelligent Enterprise concept, the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
