ORBIS Construction HUB: data hub for construction objects in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 cloud

With the ConstructionHUB in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Cloud, ORBIS AG offers an innovative platform for construction suppliers. As a central data hub, it uniformly manages all information regarding a selection of construction objects and it enables digital control of the objects and trade processes. Information regarding the different construction projects can be compared quickly and easily. Also, potential construction projects can be identified at a very early stage, which opens a wide range of marketing and sales opportunities This gives the construction supplier a competitive advantage.

The ConstructionHUB is an integrated component of the CRM industry solution ORBIS ConstructionONE, which is based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and automatically gathers information regarding potential construction projects. The data regarding a building object is made available via software services that communicate directly with one another across system boundaries – as opposed to outdated solutions that entail cumbersome interfaces and import procedures.
Since the market-leading data suppliers and search algorithms Building Radar and ibau are linked to the ConstructionHUB, the user can transfer object data from Building Radar and ibau with the click of a mouse – without any technical know-how. Other data sources, such as tender platforms, can also easily be integrated into the ConstructionHUB, thanks to the high degree of standardisation.

The transferred object information is qualified in the ConstructionHUB, enriched, updated as required and automatically checked for duplicates using the ORBIS DataQualityONE solution to ensure high data quality. In addition, artificial intelligence (AI) analysis determines which participants (architect, planner, client) have the greatest potential of winning the contract for a building project – referred to as the "winning team".

This provides construction suppliers with a sound basis for deciding which projects are relevant to them. They can then create them as construction projects in ORBIS ConstructionONE and process them in a structured manner, ideally until the order is completed. Since the Dynamic 365 solution is also linked to the commerce-as-a-service platform of the ORBIS partner Intershop, the construction supplier can quickly set up a web shop for selling its products, solutions and systems to B2B partners such as craftsmen.

The individual solutions of the ConstructionHUB are networked via integration services from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Cloud, which enables their smooth interaction. In this way, the data of the building object can also be managed redundancy-free in a single environment or “single source of truth”, so that business users have direct access to current information in the form of “live data”.
